Chapter Nine
Ryan Gregory's face could not contain the joy welling up within him. His eyes were even tinged with the laughter of happiness. Following her into the room, he saw Sofia Hamilton sitting sullenly on the sofa, with a pout on her small face.
He walked over and sat beside her.
But she moved away annoyedly, scooting over a bit, "Don't sit next to me."
Ryan Gregory gazed at her, suddenly thinking that her angry look was quite adorable.
He didn't know how long it had been since he last saw such an expression on her face.
A bit of pettiness, making a fuss with him, throwing a small tantrum.
He had thought that he would never see this side of her in this lifetime.
Unexpectedly, he felt a bit nostalgic, a bit happy, yet also a bit melancholic…
Ryan Gregory just looked at her with a smile, unblinkingly.
His gaze was intense, full of deep affection.
Sofia Hamilton felt extremely uncomfortable under his stare, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
