Chapter Eight
Sofia Hamilton's face flickered with frustration and loss. Before he reached her, she had already turned and walked inside.
"Sofia Hamilton."
"Sofia Hamilton!"
Ryan Gregory called out to her a few times from behind, but she did not stop.
She walked briskly, obviously not wanting to wait for him—or perhaps she was angry with him.
Yet, he did not know why she was angry.
Ryan Gregory had no choice but to stride quickly to catch up, grabbing her arm in that instant. He did indeed see displeasure on her face and slightly furrowed his brow, "What's wrong with you?"
Her mood seemed a bit inexplicable.
Or was it because he had irritated Arthur Baker with a few words, and she felt sorry for him? Unhappy?
Could it be that she cared so much about Arthur Baker's feelings?
Thinking of these things, Ryan Gregory felt as if his chest had been punched a few times.
Sofia Hamilton, with a cold expression, said, "It's nothing."
