Although thin, she had regained her usual spirited demeanor.
Sofia Hamilton smiled but suddenly found herself only feeling awkward in front of Arthur Baker.
"Why are you here on this side?"
"Just passing by, what about you? Why are you alone, he... didn't come to pick you up?" Arthur Baker couldn't help asking.
His probing question betrays an internal hope for an opportunity...
If Ryan Gregory had treated her poorly, would he then have another chance to fight for her?
Sofia laughed, "He's quite busy. I didn't ask him to come."
"No matter how busy, one shouldn't leave you out here alone in the rain," Arthur muttered.
Ryan Gregory had put in a lot of effort to take Sofia away, so why didn't he take good care of her? Did he really not want a divorce, making Sofia endure hardship following him?
Seeing the bitter smile tugging at her lips, Arthur felt a sourness in his heart.
