"With Grandpa here, no one will give you a hard time," Grandpa Baker assured her.
Sofia Hamilton smiled, "Grandpa, thank you, but... I really can't go."
Just the thought of being thrust into the executive core was overwhelming for her.
That was simply not something someone as insignificant as her could handle.
What's more, if she worked at the Baker Family company, she would have to see Arthur Baker every day.
Running into him all the time would just be too awkward...
Sofia Hamilton said bitterly with a smile, "Grandpa, I know you want to matchmake me and Arthur, but Arthur and I are not possible anymore, so I really shouldn't work at the Baker Family company. Please don't make it difficult for me."
Grandpa wanted to matchmake them, right?
Otherwise, why would he let an outsider attend a board meeting?
Grandpa Baker frowned in disappointment, "Is there no room for discussion on this matter?"
Sofia Hamilton shook her head apologetically.
