Chapter Two
The next day.
Sofia Hamilton woke up to find that there was no one beside her.
Her head felt somewhat groggy as she sat up, rubbing her temples, and then she vaguely remembered what had happened last night.
The dream had agitated her emotions, and she had lost control and cried.
She had rarely ever lost control like that, not even when her mother left; she had just silently shed tears, never sobbing hysterically like that...
Actually, she didn't like to spend her days in tears.
Tears wouldn't solve any problems.
As soon as Sofia lifted the covers, she heard a commotion downstairs.
Why is it so noisy?
It sounded like something was being fixed...
As she walked to the window and looked out, she saw that there was construction going on below.
Many workers were busy moving and arranging things below...
What were they doing?
Perhaps Ryan Gregory wanted to fix something.
That had nothing to do with her.
