Chapter Nine
The Bar.
Regina Brown, dressed seductively, arrived at the private booth where a man had been waiting for her for quite some time, smiling as he watched her approach.
"Why are you alone? Didn't you say there were others coming?"
"I was worried you wouldn't be familiar with them, so I asked them to leave early. How about that, Miss, I'm here today just to keep you company," the man said, pouring a drink while looking at her with a carefree grin.
Regina sat down with disdain.
People are such strange creatures; you don't care about those who like you...
The one you like doesn't even consider you at all.
She could ask this man beside her to do anything, and he would be willing, but she just couldn't stand his demeanor.
Glancing around, there were almost no men who could compare to Ryan Gregory.
Ryan Gregory, though he was her husband, her lawful husband!!
Yet she couldn't touch him, couldn't see him, couldn't reach him.
It was quite ironic...
