Chapter 2
Sofia Hamilton had just submitted her resignation letter and was preparing to leave when she saw Linda emerging from the office.
Linda looked a bit surprised to see her, "Miss Hamilton, what brings you here?"
"Oh, I…" Sofia squeezed out a smile, "I'm here to resign."
She hadn't intended to let Arthur Baker know, nor did she want to encounter him, but unexpectedly, she ran into Linda.
She couldn't keep it a secret forever, and there was nothing to hide.
Facing Linda's astonished and incredulous expression, Sofia smiled, "There's nothing else, I'll be leaving now."
Just about to leave...
"Miss Hamilton!"
Linda hurriedly called out to Sofia, walking up to her, "Miss Hamilton, aren't you going to see Mr. Baker?"
Although, these weren't questions she should've been asking as a secretary.
Yet, seeing how depressed Mr. Baker had been these days, she couldn't bear to watch...
