Chapter Nine
She was still familiar with all his quirks.
The man always forgot to eat when he was working...
And when he did eat, he was so picky...
Sofia Hamilton watched him clean up the floor and, unsure of what to say, turned and went upstairs.
Returning to her own bedroom, she didn't expect him to follow her in.
She knew he didn't want her by his side just to be ornamental.
He was a normal man, and such things were bound to happen eventually.
She could avoid it for a day, but not for a year...
Yet, she hadn't expected it to happen so soon.
She had thought he would be away for several days.
But to her surprise, he had come back on the very first day she moved in...
Watching him enter the bathroom, listening to the sound of the shower, her heart was incredibly tense.
It wasn't their first time...
But she was still very nervous.
What could she say to dispel his thoughts?
Pretend to sleep?
If she was asleep, he surely wouldn't be able to do anything...
