As her belongings gradually moved in, the sight of the luxurious house gave her no sense of belonging whatsoever.
It always felt as though there was a hole in her heart that was getting bigger by the day.
One year, 365 days...
How many hours?
She had thought she would never end up here.

Sofia stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing into the distance when her phone suddenly rang.
She took out her phone, and the screen displayed Arthur Baker's number.
Today was the day he was to be released.
Ryan's connections were truly impressive; he had only to step in, and the problem was solved with ease.
Looking at Arthur's incoming call, her heart was a mess.
