The driver started the car and began to slowly pull away, but just then, someone suddenly dashed out, brazenly blocking the way.
The driver, frightened, slammed on the brakes! Nathan Morgan and Ryan Gregory both jolted slightly forward. Once the car came to a steady stop, Nathan finally saw clearly that the person standing in front of the car was Sofia Hamilton.
The sudden scene turned the driver's face pale.
His hands were tightly gripping the steering wheel, his foot still firmly pressed on the brake, fearful that any relaxation would cause him to hit someone.
Sofia Hamilton's eyes were tightly shut, her heart beating like a drum, each strong thump striking against her chest.
Only when she felt unharmed did she dare to open her eyes.
The car had missed her by just that little bit.
But she had no choice...
