Chapter Five
Late at night.
Sofia Hamilton closed her laptop, ending her work arrangements for the entire day.
In passing, she had looked into Brianna Wood.
The information about her was actually quite one-sided.
Most of it was about her career, describing how she went from a small employee to making it big and how she became a successful businesswoman. As for her family life, there was no mention; it seemed as if she had never remarried.
For some reason, Sofia found herself quite interested in this woman.
She stood up, gathered her long hair, and walked towards the bathroom.
Turning on the hot water, she stood under the showerhead, letting the scalding water wash over her.
If only one's troubles could be washed away with water, how wonderful that would be.
Whenever she thought about Aaron Brown and Ryan Gregory, she felt that the world was so complicated.
