Chapter Four
The wedding scene was in chaos.
The guests were whispering to each other, discussing animatedly. The old patriarch sat anxiously and said, "What's going on with these two kids, why aren't they coming out yet?"
Just then, the emcee came out with an apologetic face and said, "Sorry to have kept everyone waiting, but we've encountered a little problem with today's wedding, and we hope everyone can patiently wait a little longer."
As soon as these words were spoken, there was a stir among the crowd below.
Aurelia Wood, standing on the side, watched the situation unfold with growing anxiety in her heart.
She was as frantic as an ant on a hot pan.
She had thought that she could find Sofia Hamilton...
But, half an hour, an hour went by...
Still unable to find anyone, the wedding had to be announced over, and the guests left the venue with incredulous complaints.
It seemed likely that Arthur Baker's wedding would become tomorrow's front-page headline.
