Was this really fate?
Sofia Hamilton frowned, casting her eyes downward.
Her left wrist seemed to have grown accustomed to the presence of the bracelet, and now, looking at her empty wrist was like feeling her heart empty.
Seeing that she had finally stopped speaking, as if she had given up, Arthur Baker's taut heartstrings slightly relaxed.
He clasped her hand, her fingers ice cold without any warmth.
"I know you're someone who cherishes the past, but there are things you won't truly let go of the past until you let them go."
"If you like jade bracelets, I can buy you one, as many as you want, do you understand?"
He didn't want his wife to still wear a bracelet gifted by another man.
It wasn't that he was petty, but because he knew all too well that as long as that bracelet was on her wrist, she would never be able to forget Ryan Gregory.
If only there was a drug in this world that could induce amnesia, how wonderful that would be...
