Chapter Three
The scorching temperature pierced through the skin, as if it were burning the blood.
Sofia Hamilton's heart tightened as she realized he was running a fever.
"Ryan Gregory?"
"Ryan?"
She called out to him several times, but he gave no response, his face even paler and more frightening.
In Sofia's mind, he was an invincible man who never fell, and not caring for his own body had become his habit. However, he had always toughed it out, never showing this kind of vulnerability in front of her before.
Glancing at the office desk, Sofia saw several bottles of medicine, and hurriedly picked them up, only to find they were all for stomach issues.
He's been taking all these stomach medicines?
Could it be that he had been tormenting himself like this over the years?
Among these bottles, there was no medicine for fever.
Sofia quickly turned around, intending to go downstairs to look for medication.
