Sofia Hamilton mustered the courage to look at him, "On the day my mother had an accident, did you go there?"
She struggled to suppress the rising sourness and tears, her eyes reddening as she looked at him.
She didn't even blink, wanting to see every change in his expression, to discern if he was really the killer of her mother, to understand if this had anything to do with him.
Ryan Gregory's brows were furrowed tightly, with deep creases that seemed like they could never be smoothed away, his jaw clenched as if he really didn't want to answer the question, but still, he opened his mouth, "I did."
