"What are you doing here?"
The thought of him being here, and the possibility that he might discover Lena's presence, made Sofia Hamilton even more nervous.
Ryan Gregory furrowed his brows, "I missed you, so I came to see you."
His voice was casual, yet exceptionally earnest, not at all like he was joking. Those deep, unfathomable black eyes were intensely fixed on her...
If only she had not suffered those hurts
If she hadn't seen his cold side...
Maybe, she would really believe that he had her in his heart
That he truly missed her.
Sofia averted her gaze, "Mr. Gregory, you needn't trouble yourself with concerns about someone irrelevant to you. It's a waste of brain cells."
"You've really become sharper with your words lately," he said with a trace of a smile that was so faint it was barely noticeable, his expression no longer as tense.
Sofia scoffed, "Well, I have you to thank for training me that way."
"May I come in for a cup of tea?"
