Chapter Two
Aurelia Wood made her point as if it were a given, devoid of any traces of gratitude.
Kevin Gregory's lips curled into a smile, "How can there be a woman like you in this world?"
Not only was she ungrateful, she even had the audacity to demand he fetch it himself!
"What's wrong with a woman like me? I have the figure, the looks, and the grace. Do you know how many people envy me?"
Kevin laughed, but for some reason, he could sense a thread of desolation in her words.
Perhaps, he had misinterpreted her feelings.
"Care for a drink?"
He suddenly asked, surprising even himself with the suggestion.
He actually fancied the idea of drinking with her...
Normally, Aurelia would have flatly refused to have a drink with him, but today seemed different. She opened the car door briskly, sat inside, and raised an eyebrow, "You're buying."
She was indeed clever, wearing his clothes, riding in his car, and now expecting him to treat her to drinks...
