Why is it so hard to forget someone?
Despite the years that had passed, she was still so familiar with him, so familiar with the things that had happened in the past, but those things were probably long forgotten by Ryan Gregory.
She was a fool after all!
Sofia Hamilton raised a self-deprecating smile tinged with bitterness, ready to turn around and leave.
There was no need to go out of her way to notify him...
She should have left this place!
Sofia walked to the door, pulled it open, and stepped out.
Ryan Gregory heard the noise behind him, turned around to see her leaving, and quickly hung up the phone to follow her.
Standing on the stairs, he watched her go down and then called out, "Where are you headed?"
"Sofia?"
He called out a few times, but she ignored him.
Ryan could only go downstairs and quickly follow her, catching hold of her arm, "Do you know how far it is from here to the city center? You think you can walk back like this?"
