Chapter Two
As night fell, the city lights began to twinkle.
Sofia Hamilton searched every conceivable place in her purse and pockets but could not find the necklace and ring.
Where could it be?
She hurriedly rummaged through drawers, clothes, and her wardrobe.
She went back and forth in every corner of the room; her mother watched her with puzzlement, "What are you looking for?"
As if she had lost her soul...
"The necklace! The ring! Mom, have you seen my ring, a diamond ring?"
She was frantic; Ryan Gregory had personally slipped it onto her finger.
Though it was a little large...
It didn't fit her finger size at all!
Yet, she had always worn it.
It was their wedding ring. Afraid of losing it if worn on her finger, she had hung it on a necklace instead, but now it was lost...
"The ring? I've not seen any ring of yours," her mother replied, bewildered, helping to look around, but it was nowhere in the house...
Could it have been dropped outside...
