Chapter Three
She had planned to leave quickly while he was away, but unexpectedly, their encounter was inevitable.
Sofia was somewhat surprised, and guilt welled up in her heart at the sight of confusion and disappointment in his eyes.
After all, Aaron had helped her quite a bit.
Yet, she intended to leave without uttering a word.
Seeing that neither of them spoke, Mrs. Cheng cleared her throat and said, "I'll wait for you outside."
No matter how good Aaron was, she still supported her daughter's choice...
After all, Sofia's urgency to leave must have its reasons.
After Mrs. Cheng left, it was just her and him.
Sofia put down her suitcase, at a loss for words, knowing that what she was doing was wrong and hurtful.
But she really didn't want to accept his kindness...
Aaron looked at the suitcase in her hand and asked bitterly, "Are you leaving?"
"Yeah."
She lowered her head, unable to meet his eyes.
