Chapter Four
Sofia Hamilton had intended to apologize, but faced with Aaron Brown's pressing questions, she felt uncomfortable. "Aaron, who I meet with is my private matter. I don't need to report everything to you, do I?"
Did she really have to explain everything she did and every person she met to him?
Sofia turned and walked away. Aaron wanted to say something but didn't know what to say…
She was right. She had no obligation to explain anything to him. What right did he have to demand a full report from her?
Yet, seeing her get close to Arthur Baker made him feel uneasy...
After all, it was so late...
Aaron followed her to her room's door. He thought to knock, raised his hand, but then let it fall.
Lately, she had obviously become more distant...
He knew she wanted to leave this place, did not want to accept his help, which meant she did not want to accept him.
What if pressing her too much scared her off?
With that thought, he frowned and stepped away.
