Chapter 7
"Did you come alone?"
The doctor looked up at her with a question that made Sofia Hamilton's heart ache.
Others had their husbands accompanying them, but she was all alone. Perhaps even the doctor found it odd.
Sofia Hamilton squeezed out a small smile, "Yeah, he's quite busy, so I came by myself."
The doctor nodded, then continued, "I was supposed to congratulate you, you are indeed pregnant."
Sofia Hamilton's eyes widened in surprise, "Really?"
Her mood improved significantly in an instant.
Sofia Hamilton started to smile, "I'm really pregnant?"
The doctor seemed to be affected by her smile, his lips curving into a smile of his own, "Absolutely certain, there is no mistake."
"Thank you, thank you, Doctor."
Sofia Hamilton expresssed her gratitude repeatedly, but the doctor had no choice but to interrupt her, "Please listen to me until I finish speaking."
"Sure."
"I advise you not to have this baby."
"What?"
Sofia Hamilton was confused, "Why?"
