Mrs. Brown was still anxious, "Are you sure, he really didn't recognize you?"
"Really, he talked to me, and I didn't sense any suspicion from him, he even asked me to dine with him tonight."
Regina leaned back on the sofa cushions, disheartened and disappointed, "But on the way back, he didn't even take me home. He's too detached, I've never been ignored like this before."
Mrs. Brown smiled, knowing too well her daughter's Princess Syndrome, she picked up an apple and started peeling it, "You, you're just used to everyone around you treating you like a treasure. I've told you before, Ryan Gregory is not like other men. If you marry him, he won't indulge you and he won't be clinging around you all day like other men do."
"That's why I like him. If he clung to me like everyone else, what would be the point?"
"You said it yourself, you like this about him, so why are you angry? This is what you chose. If you knew he's like that, why bother getting angry?"
