When Sofia Hamilton returned to the ward, Ryan Gregory was frowning at her.
He closed his laptop and, with a stern face, patted the spot next to him, "Come here."
His severe expression was as if she had made some unforgivable mistake.
She obediently sat down beside him, "What's wrong?"
"Where have you been?"
"I... went out... for a walk."
Her stammered explanation was so nervous that she didn't dare to look at him.
"Do you know how long you've been gone? Do you know how many calls I made to you? And you even turned off your phone? Do you know how worried I was that something had happened to you, like that car accident the other day?..."
He complained with knitted brows, but Sofia found his words sweet to her heart. She shamelessly smiled at him, making her eyes turn red.
The sweetness came from his nervousness and concern...
