Chapter Seven
The next day.
The bidding site.
The large hall was filled with leading figures from various sectors of the business world.
Although everyone present wore a smile, there was an inevitable undercurrent of competition.
The auctioneer solemnly announced, "The bidding starts now!"
Instantly, the room was enveloped by an intense atmosphere, because this time the bidding was anonymous. Buyers could not see what others were willing to pay; they could only guess! Only the seller could see the bids and make a selection from them...
This added a level of difficulty to the proceedings.
Some hesitated to write...
Some looked around...
Ryan Gregory calmly wrote down a number: 811 million.
A few minutes later, the staff came to collect it.
After an agonizing hour of waiting, Abel's seller announced: The highest bidder wins Abel!
Ryan Gregory had never imagined that he would actually come up short.
Someone had outbid him by just 10,000 to snatch up Abel!
