Chapter Three
As she was lost in thought, she heard him ask, "Do you want to go to the hospital with me?"
"Ah?"
Sofia snapped back to reality and mustered a smile. "Sure."
Claura's improvement was truly a good thing...
That way, Ryan would feel less guilty.
Sofia, what you have to face will come sooner or later, even if you're scared, it's no use.
She encouraged herself silently, took a deep breath, and put on a smile. "Let's go now, I'm full already."
"You've only eaten so little?"
The food he had ordered for her, she had hardly touched...
Sofia couldn't eat another bite, she smiled sweetly. "Claura's situation is more important. You can't relax by staying here; we might as well go earlier."
Ryan indeed couldn't put his mind at ease. Seeing that she was considerate, he smiled appreciatively, "I'll bring you here another time."
He affectionately pinched her cheek, but Sofia could hardly smile.
Next time...
Would there be a next time?
She didn't know...
