Chapter Four
As he embraced her, Sofia Hamilton instinctively shrank into herself, and Ryan Gregory deliberately whispered into her ear, "Want me to join you for a shower, hmm?"
Sure enough, she reacted like a startled rabbit, hastily pulling down his hand, her face flushing red as she stuttered, "I... I... I just remembered, I have something to discuss with mom, I need to go out first."
With that, she bolted away like a puff of smoke.
Ryan Gregory chuckled contentedly, watching her disappear at the doorway, and murmured softly, "Let's see how long you can hide."
With those words, he turned and walked towards the bathroom.
Sofia certainly didn't dare to go downstairs; she could only hide alone in his study.
Her heartbeat still had not calmed down after a long time.
Her ears, too, were burning hot in waves.
Sofia patted her cheeks, taking a deep breath.
Alone in his study, all she could do was pick out a book to pass the time.
