Chapter Two
Some mistakes, once made, can never be undone in this lifetime.
So the one thing he was grateful for was that he had arrived in time.
"What's wrong?"
Noticing he was looking at her feet, Sofia Hamilton felt uneasy and puzzled.
While she was full of confusion, he had already bent down and suddenly lifted her into his arms.
Sofia Hamilton, startled and afraid of falling, instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck and looked at him in astonishment, "What are you doing?"
"Carrying you down, you're not even wearing shoes, how can you walk?"
As he spoke, he already began striding forward.
Sofia Hamilton did not push him away anymore but instead clung tightly to his neck, watching him furrow his brows and tread carefully. She wondered if she was too heavy?
