"I wish that were the case, but reality says otherwise," he said, self-deprecatingly.
That woman clearly didn't care about him at all. She could even go on a cheerful date with another man while he was sick in the hospital.
Yet he still couldn't sit by and do nothing.
It turned out that he was just that ridiculous.
But he hoped that this was the last time!
The last time in his life.
From now on, everything about Regina Brown had nothing to do with him…
Ryan Gregory pried her hands away, "Only this time, afterward... I won't interfere again."
With those words, he hurriedly walked toward the door.
"Brother Ryan!!"
Claura Wood called out, but lacked the courage to chase after him, instead collapsing weak-kneed to the ground.
Tears silently fell as she laughed at herself pitifully, "Is it you who is deceiving yourself, or is it me?"
Saying he would stay out of it in the future, but where could he actually achieve that?
