Chapter One
Sofia Hamilton clenched her fists in the dark, her fingernails digging into her palms so painfully, yet she seemed unaware of the need to release her grip.
Forcing herself to look at him, she said, "I said I hate it here, and I don't want to live here!"
By acting this way, she must be making herself even more loathsome to him, right?
With his prideful self-esteem and temper, he would order her to get out and to never show up before him again.
Indeed, Ryan Gregory's eyes suddenly grew colder, his face became grave, and his tense jawline betrayed the anger he felt at that moment.
She thought he might be desperately controlling the urge to lay his hands on her neck.
Sofia wanted to pry his hands off, but to her surprise, his grip tightened even more, as if he intended to crush her bones.
It hurt a lot, but she didn't cry out.
Ryan Gregory laughed angrily, "Who gave you permission to leave? You can only go if I tell you to go—you're not leaving until then!!"
