Chapter 5
A Western restaurant.
Sofia Hamilton looked at the steak in front of her and felt no appetite.
She couldn't stand the gamey taste of beef, nor did she like eating undercooked food.
Yet, every time she remembered Mrs. Mo's reminders, she could only force herself to pick up the knife and fork and cut elegantly.
However, the steak was not easy to cut, Sofia struggled to carve a few small pieces, while Ryan Gregory made it look effortless and graceful, as if the steak was easy to slice.
Sofia couldn't help but wonder why it seemed to be so easily cut in his hands.
She really wished she could just use a fork to pick up the chunk of beef and put it straight into her mouth.
Sofia felt defeated, while Ryan Gregory sipped a glass of red wine, carefully observing the rich changes in her expression.
"Are you used to eating this?"
Sofia forced a smile and said something against her will, "Yes, I'm used to it."
"Try this." He pushed the foie gras in front of her.
