Chapter One
Sofia Hamilton couldn't hide her excitement as she grabbed the maid's hand, "Who gave you the rope!"
The maid was stunned, frightened by her anxious demeanor, "Madam."
"I'm asking you, who gave you the rope in your hand."
She couldn't possibly have recognized it wrong, it was the one she had hand-woven!
Her sister always carried it with her; how could it end up in someone else's hands?
The maid hurriedly bowed her head, answering, "I found this hand rope in the courtyard and thought it was pretty, so I just..."
Fearful Sofia Hamilton would think she was stealing, the maid frantically waved her hands and shook her head to explain, "Madam, I didn't steal it, really, I just found it in the courtyard a few months ago."
"Found it?"
Sofia's heart couldn't stop feeling disappointed.
She had thought that by seeing her sister's rope, she would be able to find her sister soon.
Sofia wanted to ask more, but Ryan Gregory approached, "What's wrong?"
