Chapter Three
Watching her pale face, resembling a frightened little rabbit, Ryan Gregory frowned and ruffled her hair, "Are you that timid?"
He had just jokingly teased her...
Yet she seemed truly scared!
Sofia Hamilton snapped back to her senses, looking at him somewhat sadly.
After this, she would not see him again.
Why did she feel a bit empty inside at the thought?
Sofia Hamilton stared at him blankly, her gaze making him increasingly feel that something was amiss, "What's the matter?"
Regaining her composure, she looked down, "It's nothing."
She must be muddled, or had eaten the wrong thing for breakfast; otherwise, why would she feel this emptiness inside?
When she looked up again, she forced a smile, "I am fine, just feeling a bit unwell."
"Unwell?" he raised an eyebrow, then placed his palm on her forehead, "You don't have a fever, so where does it hurt?"
