Third Update
Sofia Hamilton was caught between a rock and a hard place. She couldn't jump, but not jumping was even worse.
To jump was a path to death,
But not jumping would arouse his suspicion and, once he knew her identity, that too was a path to death.
Sofia Hamilton looked at the clear pool water, her palms slick with cold sweat.
Ryan Gregory said with casual ease, "It's up to you. Find my ring, and I'll forgive you."
After he spoke, he walked away.
"Ryan Gregory!!"
"Ryan!"
Sofia Hamilton called out to his retreating figure urgently several times, but he did not look back.
She slapped her forehead in annoyance, "Sofia Hamilton, you're really asking for trouble. Why did you have to badmouth him."
Anxiously stamping her foot on the edge of the pool, she thought if her identity were revealed, even her mother's surgery could be ruined...
Sofia Hamilton took a deep breath, clenched her fists as she looked at the pool of water, "If I'm going to die, so be it!"
