He pulled her to the door of the room.
Sofia's eyes widened with fear, and her heart tightened; he indeed intended to bring her to the room...
Startled, Sofia turned to run, but he forcefully dragged her through the door.
"I don't want to!! I don't want to go in!!" she cried out in fear, as though there were some demon or ghoul inside the room.
Sofia clutched the doorframe tightly, stubbornly refusing to go in, while Ryan Gregory frowned and simply walked over, prying her hands off the doorframe by force.
"Ryan Gregory, I won't do that with you, don't even think about getting me in there."
"I'm telling you, this is marital force... force..."
Her face flushed as she shouted, her heart racing.
Yet, no matter how strong she was, compared to him, the difference was too vast.
Ryan Gregory then managed to drag her into the room, both pulling and tugging!!
"Let me go, let me go... you this..." Sofia's voice choked up.
When she saw the elderly person lying on the bed, her scream abruptly stopped.
How... how could there be an elderly person here.
"Grandma!"
Ryan called out, then went forward, arranging the pillows gently behind the elderly lady and helping her to sit up, saying with a smile, "Grandma, I got married, this is your future granddaughter-in-law."
The old lady looked very frail, glanced at Sofia, and with a satisfied expression said, "Ryan's married?"
"What are you standing there for, call her Grandma!" he looked at her displeased.
His stern face, and the gentleness he exhibited when speaking with Grandma, were starkly contrasting, as if he were two different people.
Sofia paused, then quickly collected herself and hurriedly said, "Hello Grandma, my name is Sofia..."
She nearly misspoke, and seeing Ryan's suspicious gaze, her nerves tensed as she quickly corrected herself, "My nickname is Sofia, and my formal name is Regina Brown."
She said this, with a sweet smile.
When she smiled, her eyes curved like crescents, brimming with charm.
The light in her eyes flowed, as if in that instant, the whole world became a lot warmer and more beautiful because of her smile...
Grandma was pleased, looking towards Ryan, "This girl has a good face, she must be great, you have to treat her well."
Sofia couldn't resist the praise, bubbly with joy, "Grandma, you're so amazing, you can read faces too. When I was little, my mom also took me to see fortune tellers, and they all said I have a good fate."
Ryan Gregory frowned, "You get proud the moment you're complimented, huh?"
Sofia glared at him, couldn't be bothered with him, and walked forward with a smile to Grandma.
The old lady seemed to be in a very good mood today, smiling and reaching out to Sofia, saying weakly, "Come here, let Grandma have a good look at my granddaughter-in-law."
Sofia approached, sat at the edge of Grandma's bed, but the old lady took off a jade bracelet from her own wrist, and stuffed it into Sofia's hands, "Regina, this is Grandma's wedding gift for you, keep it."
"Grandma, I can't accept this, it's too valuable," she hurriedly shook her head...
Although she didn't know exactly how much this object was worth, she knew the saying well: jades are invaluable.
But Grandma insisted on placing it in her hand, "You must keep this. My health isn't good, I can't attend your wedding, nor do I have the energy to prepare a gift. But a gift for the bride is a must, this represents my affection for you, you must accept it."
Sofia felt troubled, she wasn't really the bride...
