Good Deeds till the End?
Sofia Hamilton looked at him with sarcasm, almost letting her refusal slip out.
But, meeting his dark, brooding eyes, and seeing his just-recovered-from-illness appearance, she shamefully felt her heart soften.
At this moment, wasn't she supposed to fiercely shake off his hand and say, "What does it matter to me if you starve to death?"
Yet, what she said was, "Wait here."
After speaking, she deeply despised herself.
