Ryan Gregory lifted a mocking curve of his lips, and Regina Brown continued, "No matter what you do, I don't care, as long as we can be together. It's enough for me that you're still by my side."
"I know you have some things you can't let go of, but I don't mind, really. If you want to play around, just remember to come home, remember that I'm here waiting for you."
She held his hand, her smile as saintly as the Madonna's, so grand that she could overlook her husband's infidelity.
Their marriage was more than just that; it involved too much. The more successful a man is, the less likely he will divorce, because there is a risk involved. Aren't most wealthy men unfaithful to their wives, keeping several mistresses on the side?
