Chapter Six
Her hand hung frozen in the air.
Ultimately, she did not knock and let her hand fall back down.
Sofia Hamilton looked at Regina Brown and felt even more ridiculous.
What was she doing here?
The one by his side was his wife.
Could she not take good care of him, or let him suffer from poor eating and lodging?
Sofia, you're really too presumptuous.
He doesn't need any of this concern from you at all.
Having decided to break it off, why did she even come here?
She turned to leave, only a few steps taken.
"Miss Hamilton."
Behind her, a pleasant female voice rang out, one filled with a strong sense of superiority that Sofia knew all too well.
Turning around, it was as she expected, Regina Brown.
After so many years, Sofia actually hadn't expected that they would meet again.
Yet after all these years, Regina's sense of dominance and superiority was as pronounced as ever.
