She helped Arthur Baker up, wiping the blood from the corners of his mouth, seeing some bruising on his left cheek, her heart filled with even more anger. How could someone hit him so hard?
It was he who had erred, yet he struck another person?
That was simply too much!
The more Sofia Hamilton thought about it, the angrier she became, supporting Arthur as they walked away.
Ryan Gregory was left standing there alone, unmoving for a long time.

Every word she said resonated so clearly, as if they were seared into his heart, bringing a throbbing pain. Ryan Gregory let out a sarcastic laugh, his expression exceptionally stiff.
