Chapter Three
The little girl sat on the sofa crying so sadly, her temper flaring up; nobody could console her as she kept saying, "Mommy doesn't want me anymore..."
When Sofia entered the room and saw the girl's swollen eyes, her heart ached, "What's happened?"
Aunt Li sighed, "You're finally back. Just now you rushed off, and Lena asked me to help her pack some more things. I took her out, and then we couldn't find you anymore. When she got back, she started crying desperately."
Lena, feeling even more wronged, sobbed, "Don't you want me anymore? I will learn the ancient poems well from now on, and I won't ask you to buy me dresses anymore..."
The poor little girl cried so pitifully, and her words pulled at Sofia's heartstrings. She tenderly wiped the tears from the small cheeks, "Silly girl, how could Mommy ever not want you?"
"You are the most precious things to Mommy, so how could I not want something so precious?"
"Really?"
