Chapter Five
Sofia Hamilton rushed forward to stop him, "You can't eat that! You can't take this medicine!"
She hurriedly ran up, snatching the medicine bottle with one hand, her face filled with tension and panic, as if it contained not vitamins but some kind of poison!
Lydia Mitchell and Ryan Gregory both found her sudden reaction strange.
"Regina, what's all this panic for? I have a bit of a cold, just need some vitamin C to get better."
Lydia Mitchell smiled, "Give it to me."
Sofia Hamilton swiftly hid the medicine behind her back, "Mom, you really can't take this."
"Why can't I take vitamins?"
"Because..."
Because these weren't vitamins, they were birth control pills.
Sofia Hamilton's tongue felt as if bitten, unable to explain her odd behavior.
Ryan Gregory and Lydia Mitchell both looked at her with strange eyes, making her more nervous, stammeringly explaining, "Because... they're expired!"
