Sofia Hamilton hurried forward to stop him, "You can't be discharged yet; you still need to have anti-inflammatory injections here for two more days."
If the wound became infected, it would be more serious and also delay the healing process.
However, Ryan Gregory seemed determined not to stay in the hospital any longer. He frowned and said, "Get Doctor Li to come to the house to administer them!"
Lydia Mitchell could easily see through her son's thoughts and teased him with a smile, "He doesn't feel better; he's just afraid that you won't be here tonight and he'll have to go back with us."
Having his thoughts read by someone else, Ryan Gregory smiled, one arm circling Sofia Hamilton. Looking at Lydia Mitchell, he said, "Mom, it's not good to be too clever!"
"I'm your mom, how can I not be clever when I have such a smart son?"
Lydia Mitchell was proudly satisfied, her face regaining some vitality, obviously having moved on from the sadness of losing her grandmother.
