Chapter One
Aaron Brown passed over the menu with a mysterious smile.
Influenced by his smile, Sofia Hamilton's lips curled into a smile as she seriously examined the menu.
This was a high-class Belden-style restaurant with famous dishes from various regions. Sofia's eyes dazzled at the options, especially the dish names she had never encountered before, so she was even more unsure of their flavors.
"I can't decide, you choose for us."
Taking back the menu, Aaron didn't make any selections but instead directed the Manager, "You arrange it."
"Of course, I'll get right on it."
Aaron was a regular here, so the Manager probably had a good grasp of his preferences and naturally would not make a poor selection.
"Can you tell me now?"
"No rush."
He poured her a glass of red wine and handed it to her, "Let's eat and talk."
"What's the good news, anyway? You're so secretive; it's making me die of curiosity."
