Second Update
He said he trusted her.
That sentence seemed to give her a bit of confidence...
"So... how should I help you?"
"For now, take me to a place."
"Okay, I'll take you there right now."
Sofia Hamilton immediately stepped forward to support him and walked him towards the door.
In order not to arouse suspicion, they had to pretend to be a couple. She affectionately snuggled up to his side and they made their way to the parking lot.
"You drive."
"What? I... I can't." She had only gotten a driver's license but had never actually driven before.
Sofia Hamilton shook her head frantically, "No, my skills are definitely not up to it."
"My hand is injured and I can't drive either, only you can. I'm not afraid, so what are you afraid of?" he said as he stuffed the car keys into her hands.
Sofia Hamilton's heart raced uncontrollably. She bit her lip and mustered up the courage to sit in the car, but her hands placed on the steering wheel were trembling.
