Chapter Two
Sofia's face flushed, and her heartbeat quickened as she looked into his determined gaze, feeling as though her blood was boiling, rushing to her cheeks.
Hot...
Why was the room so hot?
Like a turtle shrinking back into its shell, Sofia tried to change the subject, fanning herself with her hand, "Don't you think the air in here isn't very good? It's quite hot, isn't it?"
"I think it's just right."
He stepped toward her with a smile playing on his lips.
With each step he took closer, she couldn't help but step back uncontrollably.
Ryan's lips curved into a smile, "So, have you made your choice?"
"..."
When Sofia took a step back, she found there was nowhere left to retreat to.
Behind her, there was a floor-to-ceiling window.
He leaned down, his hands braced on either side of her, encircling her completely, his refreshing scent immediately overtaking all of Sofia's senses.
It seemed she had no escape today...
