"Aren't you afraid that what they say is all true?"
Ryan Gregory looked at her with a smile that wasn't quite a smile; there was also a hint of anticipation in his eyes, hoping that she truly could put her complete trust in him.
As he had guessed...
"I don't know what happened between you in the past, but I do know that bringing me here wasn't prearranged with Erika, as they've said. It was all a coincidence, right? And..."
Her smile piqued his curiosity, making him unable to resist asking, "And what?"
"You've been really good to me recently. Women are quite sensitive about these things. If you really did something to wrong me, I wouldn't be able to sense it. So, I trust you."
She admitted to herself that she was bothered by his past with Erika Ayton…
But since it was all in the past, why cling to it?
