Erika Ayton couldn't believe it. Was he really indifferent to her?
Was she still not good enough now?
His heartlessness and detachment were written all over his face, so clearly that it was hard for her to pretend she didn't see it.
Ryan Gregory turned to leave...
"Ryan!"
Erika called out urgently, fearing he would just walk away.
Seeing that he didn't turn around, not even to glance at her, her heart was full of melancholy and loss.
Erika bit her lip, deciding to throw caution to the wind one more time, and took a few steps forward to hug him forcefully from behind.
"I love you. Can you give me one chance?"
Ryan Gregory frowned, his jaw tightened, his face displeased, and he lowered his voice, "I am married. I think you should save these words for someone else."
As he spoke, he tried to pull her hands off, but Erika held on even tighter, "Don't push me away. Can't you listen to all I have to say before deciding to sentence me to death?"
