Chapter Three
Sofia Hamilton arrived at the hospital huffing and puffing, only to realize she had forgotten to ask which ward Ryan Gregory was in.
The hospital was so large; how was she going to find him?
She wanted to take out her cellphone to call Ryan, but after turning her bag upside down, she couldn't find it anywhere.
In her haste, she had left it at the company.
She had no choice but to rush forward and grab any nurse or doctor she saw to ask, "Excuse me, do you know which ward Ryan Gregory is staying in?"
Unfortunately, this was National Hospital, far too large, and the nurses and doctors were already too busy to pay attention, uniformly shaking their heads at her inquiries.
It took Sofia quite a while before she finally got the information she needed.
Anxious, she hurried off, but just as she approached the corridor leading to his room, she saw Claura Wood coming out.
Sofia stopped in her tracks and caught her breath as she watched Claura.
