Chapter Two
Sofia Hamilton ran out of the Gregory Residence without even changing her clothes.
It was only after she hurried outside that she realized she was still wearing her slippers and home clothes.
A chill crept up on her; the weather in October was still a bit cold.
She rubbed her arms, annoyed at her own impulsiveness.
But, what happened just now was really infuriating.
They even spoke about her most beloved and respected father...
And Ryan Gregory, he didn't even bother to understand the truth before scolding her.
Sofia felt wronged, and her eyes inevitably misted over with a shallow layer of tears.
Suddenly...
A car sped towards her, trying to make it through the last few seconds of a green light...
The pedestrian crossing light turned on, but Sofia didn't notice the approaching danger and stepped forward.
Luckily...
The sedan swooshed by!!
"Be careful!!"
Suddenly, someone grabbed Sofia's arm and yanked her back.
