"Ah—!"
Upon hearing Amanda Jenkins' scream, Jasper Bollock suddenly turned around.
He was shocked to see a green snake coiled around her shoulder.
He strode forward like an arrow, with swiftness that not even thunder could outpace, reached out and grasped the snake at its critical spot, squeezed tightly, and then flung it fiercely towards the rocks nearby.
Amanda Jenkins cried out and dodged to the side.
The snake struggled on the ground for a moment before laying limp.
"Don't be afraid," said Jasper Bollock. "It's dead now."
"Hiss..." Amanda Jenkins frowned and inhaled a sharp breath of cold air, one hand touching her shoulder.
"Were you bitten?" Jasper Bollock was alarmed and flipped open her jacket in one move.
Beneath her knit cardigan, she wore only a light blue camisole.
The lifted jacket revealed her pale, fragrant shoulders.
